Hiking holiday in South Tyrol
The Villanderer Alm is the natural hiking area for your hiking holiday on the Falserhof. On the beautiful high alpine pasture everything is not as touristic as on the largest alpine plateau of Europe, the Seiser Alm, on the other side of the Eisack valley. The Villanderer Alm is still the retreat for cattle in the summer. But a beautiful network of hiking trails and many alpine pastures also turns it into a hiking paradise. Hiking with children is easy there, as well as extensive mountain bike tours, because the paths are well secured and not too steep.
Hiking around Villanders in the Eisack Valley
The Eisack valley and the surrounding mountain regions offer hiking opportunities without end. Directly from us you can see different peaks of the Sarntaler Alps. Our house, the Villander mountain, the Sarner Scharte or the Gamser peak are just some of them. You can hike the Geislerspitze in the Villnöß valley. Or you can drive a bit, make a visit to the Seiser Alm and climb the mountains, which have given names to our apartments: Schlern and Plattkofel. If you are a climber, you will find in the surroundings many beautiful climbing mountains and also experienced mountain guides, who accompany you gladly.
Experience hiking on a hiking holiday in South Tyrol
It is always nice to be able to combine a hike with a special destination. Here, in Villanders, you can find for example the Archeopark with its historical excavations and the Aventure Mine. Our church St. Stephan and the cemetery with the many wrought-iron crosses are very close by. The “Totenkirchl” or the “Totensee” on the Villanderer Alm are a bit farer away, but also these hikes are easy to do with children.
Or you can take the guided hike through the pine trees on the Villanderer Alm or the sunrise walk to the Latzfonser Kreuz from Klausen. You will enjoy a magnificent view and a magical atmosphere!
